Remote control drone with camera is not too complex to use. Especially you spend time to learn, try and experience. However, before purchase a drone, there are few notes that you need to know in use and maintain. Now, take a look:
1. Regulations
For now in many countries, the regulations of using drone haven't been clear. So according to your country, you must learn the rules related to drone. There are few no-fly zones that you can't use drone or something like them because of security, especially in the big cities or military areas.
But if you are in US, you are lucky because the government has very clear regulations in using drone and UAV. Such as:
- Not be used in crowded places (including fly around and overhead)
- Not fly in the radius of 5 miles from airport.
- Always control drone in user's vision.
- And a list of detailed instructions in take off and land.
If you are not in US, you should also use drone with their regulations for safety. Ideally, you should use drone in empty areas, no buildings and vehicles and people.
2. Remote controller
To operate remote control drone with camera, you need a remote controller. Most of current drones have a controller with 2 joysticks, look like controller of PlayStation game. 1 joystick is used to control drone going left, right, up and down. And the other is used to change speed and control the camera. A controller is good if it meet the requirements: fits the hands, joysticks make comfortable for fingers, move smoothy and easy to control the drone.
Few modern drones can be replaced the standard controller with apps of smart phones via wifi, 3G. These apps also have the feature of live view from camera of drone but it looks and feels not real so be easy to accident.
